Leave a legacy
A simple way to arrange for a future gift to March of Dimes is through a bequest. This can be accomplished by simply naming March of Dimes as a beneficiary in your will or trust. You can specify which assets we’ll receive such as cash, securities, real estate, or other non-cash assets, or designate that we receive a percentage of your overall estate or of the residual of your estate.
Benefits
- Revocable. You can change your bequest intentions at any time during your lifetime by simply modifying the language in your will or trust.
- Control. You retain ownership and control of your assets during your lifetime since they won’t pass to March of Dimes until your death.
- Estate tax savings. Although only a small percentage of individuals will incur estate tax at their death, those individuals who are subject to estate tax can benefit from having charitable provisions in their will or trust since assets distributed to charity at death won’t be subject to estate tax.
