It’s NICU Awareness Month, a time March of Dimes honors the families of the 1 in 10newborns in our country who spend their first days in the NICU. It’s also a time we celebrate the incredible staff and providers who care for these tiny but mighty babies.                

For more than 20 years, March of Dimes has been there for families with a baby in theNICU, off ering the support and education they need, right when they need it. Our NICUFamily Support program® serves more than 50,000 families in over 70 NICU sites eachyear, and our online resources reach many more.                

This month and year-round, NICU staff and advocates are fighting for preterm babies—advocates like Hannah Baldwin. Hannah is a mom to micro-preemie twins, who were born at 23weeks and 5 days. After 137 days in the NICU, Hannah’s twins were able to come home to their family, and now Hannah is partnering with March of Dimes to urge Congress to pass the PREEMIE Reauthorization Act of 2023.                

This month we thank you, corporate supporters, who strengthen our mission to be acritical voice and resource for families like Hannah’s, and the more than 383,000 babies born too soon every year in the U.S.

Milestones Matter: A corporate partnership honoring NICU heroes

Launching this week for NICU Awareness Month, Great American Cookies and Marble Slab Creamery have partnered with March of Dimes for our new Milestones Matter campaign. Tapping into our organizations’ synergies of celebrating family milestones, we’re joining forces to honor NICU patients, their families, and the health care professionals caring for them.         

On September 28, NICU Staff Appreciation Day, the two brands will provide a sweet treat to March of Dimes NICU teams around the country by delivering surprise Original Cookie Cakes and Ice Cream Cakes .         

Customers who place an online order on this day(for pick-up before October 7) will receive $3 OFF their purchase with code MOD23.


Better Starts For All: A corporate partnership with tangible impact

Reckitt partnered with March of Dimes starting in2021 to support our Better Starts for All campaign, a mobile health initiative to increase support, education, clinical care, and virtualized care to women in at-risk communities.       

By leveraging their corporate strength, Reckitt was able to provide tangible impact for thousands of women: 95% of those who sought clinical care through our mobile health initiative wouldn’t have received care without this program.

Raising critical funds for local NICU families

Houston Best Dressed 2023

This month, March of Dimes celebrated a very successful Paper City Philanthropy in Fashion Best Dressed Luncheon and Neiman Marcus Runway Presentation in Houston, raising over $1M for our mission. Numerous corporate partners and individual donors supported this local event, which takes place annually to raise critical funds for Texas families and support local initiatives, including our NICU Family Support® program at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital. This event honors ten philanthropic women, all deeply committed to our mission.      

Houston is one of many local markets in which March of Dimes is fighting for the health of moms and babies at the community level.

For more than eight decades, we've spearheaded many critical breakthroughs that have impacted the health of every baby and family in our country. Today, we're fighting to increase maternal and infant health equity and access to care so that every mom and baby gets the best possible start.

Our best-in-class marketing team accomplishes big things in support of the tiny babies and their moms we fight for every day. We recently had the opportunity to secure ad inventory in a highly visible Times Square location to drive awareness of our mission. This spot plays every 15 minutes at1530 Broadway, New York, NY now through the end of November.
