• In Montana in 2002, 8.3% of mothers under age 20 who had a previous live birth reported their previous child was born preterm (<37 completed weeks gestation), compared to 13.1% of mothers ages 20-24, 8.7% of mothers ages 25-34, and 13.8% of mothers ages 35 and older.
