• In Illinois during 2013-2015 (average), black mothers (9.6%) had the highest rates of late or no prenatal care compared to other maternal race and ethnicity categories. 
• The rate of late or no prenatal care among births to black women (9.6%) was 2 times higher than the rate among white women (3.2%).
