• In Alabama during 2011-2013 (average), infant mortality rates (per 1,000 live births) were highest for women under age 20 (11.3) and ages 20-29 (8.4) , compared to 8.6 for all live births. 
• Of all infants born during 2011-2013 (average), 10.5% were to mothers under the age of 20, 59.3% were to mothers ages 20-29 years, 28.6% were to mothers ages 30-39 years, and 1.6% were to mothers ages 40 and older.
