MARKETWIDE MISSION AMBASSADOR-THE SILBERT FAMILY
There were not many things that “scared” Jen, but when she and her husband discussed wanting to start a family and trying to get pregnant in 2020, she was scared of two things: preterm labor and/or having a medically-fragile child. Jen’s older sister experienced two preterm labors, one ending in infant loss, and another son staying in the NICU for 8 weeks. Additionally, Jen worked at a home health care company, where she did recruiting/scheduling for pediatric nursing clients for 10 years. After being exposed to these situations and scenarios, she feared after 9 months of going through IVF, that her experience would be challenging like that of her sister’s and her clients’. But little did she know that facing her two greatest fears and somehow getting through what she did, it would make her stronger. Braver. Smarter. Better. And it would change her forever.
