Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. provides volunteer services in connection with its mission to enhance the quality of life within the community. Public service, leadership development, and education of youth are the hallmark of the organization’s programs and activities. Sigma Gamma Rho addresses concerns that impact society educationally, civically, and economically.

Since the 1970s, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and March of Dimes have worked together to help families and babies get the best possible start by raising funds for March for Babies, serving as advocates, and volunteering. One of their signature programs, Project Cradle Care, allows both organizations to focus on improving pregnancy outcomes in high-risk communities by increasing the number of women of childbearing age who receive adequate prenatal education and care. For the past two years, Sigma Gamma Rho members have been collecting personal care kits, sibling kits, and homecoming kits that reached more than 5,000 families in NICUs and in need across the country.
