Alpha Phi Alpha

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. was founded by seven college men who recognized the need for a strong bond of brotherhood among African descendants in this country. The fraternity provides volunteer services in connection with its mission to promote male responsibility, including responsible and healthy parenting and opportunities for all youth to achieve their highest potential with the assistance of fraternity members who are college-educated, professional men committed to service to their communities. March of Dimes and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. forged a partnership over 40 years ago and have launched Project Alpha, a program designed to provide young men with current and accurate information about teen pregnancy prevention and other health information to prevent preterm birth and infant mortality.
