As one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies and vaccine maker, Sanofi believes in a world where no one suffers or dies from a vaccine-preventable disease. Each year, they supply nearly one billion vaccine doses to people around the world, protecting people of all ages from a wide range of severe infectious diseases.
For over two decades, Sanofi has partnered with March of Dimes to build awareness about the importance of vaccines, especially for moms and young babies. Our “Sounds of Pertussis” campaign in 2009 alerted parents to the dangers of whooping cough and the need for children and adults to be vaccinated against the disease to minimize spread. Our “Word of Mom” campaign begun in 2013 encouraged moms to spread the word about the importance of routine vaccinations for their children to protect, not just themselves, but public health as well.
Today, Sanofi is again partnering with March of Dimes to raise awareness of the dangers posed by the flu and RSV, a serious respiratory infection common in children under 2 years of age. With their support, March of Dimes conducted a webinar in which real moms share stories about their experience with these two diseases and the importance vaccines and vigilance play in safeguarding the health of our children.
