PeriStats has been updated with 2019 data on several birth outcomes for Puerto Rico utilizing the territories natality data set from the National Center for Health Statistic (NCHS). These include preterm birth, birthweight, and delivery method. These topics are available by maternal age, race, and race/ethnicity. Also available are preterm birth rates calculated using gestational age based on obstetric estimate (OE) for 2019 and low birthweight rates (2019) by municipality. In addition, delivery method, distribution of single and multiple births, Medicaid coverage and previous preterm births were updated to 2019 data from the National Center for Health Statistics for all U. S. states and vital statistics jurisdictions from the Natality data set.
