• During 2012-2014 (average) in Rhode Island, the rate of cesarean deliveries was highest for women ages 40 and older (50.4%), followed by women ages 30-39 (36.1%), ages 20-29 (27.0%) and under age 20 (18.1%). 
• Of all infants born during 2013-2015 (average), 5.5% were to mothers under the age of 20, 46.1% were to mothers ages 20-29 years, 45.1% were to mothers ages 30-39 years, and 3.3% were to mothers ages 40 and older.
