• During 2014-2016 (average) in New Jersey, the rate of cesarean deliveries was highest for women ages 40 and older (53.3%), followed by women ages 30-39 (40.7%), ages 20-29 (31.1%) and under age 20 (22.0%). 
• Of all infants born during 2014-2016 (average), 3.3% were to mothers under the age of 20, 39.9% were to mothers ages 20-29 years, 52.3% were to mothers ages 30-39 years, and 4.5% were to mothers ages 40 and older.
