• During 2013-2015 (average) in Illinois, the rate of cesarean deliveries was highest for women ages 40 and older (47.6%), followed by women ages 30-39 (35.6%), ages 20-29 (27.7%) and under age 20 (19.2%). 
• Of all infants born during 2013-2015 (average), 6.2% were to mothers under the age of 20, 46.8% were to mothers ages 20-29 years, 43.9% were to mothers ages 30-39 years, and 3.2% were to mothers ages 40 and older.
