• In Illinois during 2012-2014 (average), black mothers (9.1%) had the highest rates of late or no prenatal care compared to other maternal race categories. 
• The rate of late or no prenatal care among births to black women (9.1%) was about 2 times higher than the rate among white women (3.7%).
