• During 2016-2018 (average) in Alabama, the rate of cesarean deliveries was highest for women ages 40 and older (50.6%), followed by women ages 30-39 (40.4%), ages 20-29 (32.6%) and under age 20 (22.5%). 
• Of all infants born during 2014-2016 (average), 8.1% were to mothers under the age of 20, 59.1% were to mothers ages 20-29 years, 31.2% were to mothers ages 30-39 years, and 1.6% were to mothers ages 40 and older.
