HCA Healthcare’s partnership with March of Dimes, now in its seventh year, includes support of our mission through local hospital participation in March for Babies, as well as funding for collaborative initiatives aimed at improving maternal health outcomes.
Delivering over 200,000 babies annually, HCA is uniquely positioned to impact the health of women and their families. In 2021-2022, HCA is partnering with March of Dimes to address the increase in pregnancy-related deaths over the past 25 years. March of Dimes and HCA are working on two initiatives that will have the greatest clinical impact on reducing maternal mortality. The first will provide important perinatal education to delivering patients around the serious issues of hemorrhage, preeclampsia and postpartum depression. The second will focus on reducing the rate of caesarian deliveries among first time moms by examining provider culture and highlighting clinical best practices.
