The New York Mom & Baby Mobile Health Center, in collaboration with New York-Presbyterian, delivers high-quality healthcare to women who are pregnant and of childbearing age in underserved communities in New York City. Staffed by a team of New York-Presbyterian healthcare providers, the mobile center began offering care in Queens in February 2024, expanded to serve additional neighborhoods in Queens and Brooklyn. The mobile center plans to concentrate additional efforts on supporting the perinatal population, with a particular focus on fourth trimester support and family planning services.

NewYork-Presbyterian is one of the nation’s most comprehensive, integrated academic healthcare systems, encompassing 10 hospitals across the Greater New York area, nearly 200 primary and specialty care clinics and medical groups, and an array of telemedicine services. A leader in medical education, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is affiliated with two renowned medical schools, Weill Cornell Medicine and Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. This collaboration means patients have access to the country’s leading physicians, the full range of medical specialties, latest innovations in care, and research that is developing cures and saving lives.

In its inaugural year of operation, NewYork-Presbyterian collaborated with seven community-based organizations to bring healthcare directly to women right in their communities. To date, New York-Presbyterian has distributed 7,200 pounds of nutritious groceries, 4,050 diapers, 1,492 feminine hygiene products, and vaccinated 188 community members against influenza. The team has also held dozens of community outreach events, offering blood pressure screenings, health education, patient navigation referrals, and lactation workshops led by a NewYork-Presbyterian lactation consultant.
