Professional development for neonatal Staff:
March of Dimes family-centered care workshops

March of Dimes is committed to supporting the work you do every day to help babies and their families in the NICU. Our family-centered care workshops bring you interactive content based on best practices that is relevant for your entire staff including nurses, physicians, therapists, social workers, chaplains, and other ancillary support. Each 90 minute session is developed and led by experienced trainers in neonatal family-centered care, and conducted on site at your hospital. Contact hours are available for each session.

Topics include:

  • Communication in the NICU
  • Coping with bereavement
  • Best practices to improve Skin to Skin care
  • Improving the culture of respect in the NICU
  • Preventing staff burnout
  • Social media & communication in a multigenerational workplace
  • Supporting Shorter Stay families

The March of Dimes is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
