Virginia Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Early Intervention Collaborative Requests Family Input
Virginia | Thursday, May 18, 2017
The Virginia Hospital Research & Education Foundation (VHREF)’s Center for Healthcare Excellence has received funding from the Virginia Board for People with Disabilities for the Virginia Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Early Intervention (EI) Collaborative, which began in the Fall 2016. The goal of the 18-month Collaborative is to enhance linkages to EI services for NICU and hospital patients and families. For this statewide learning Collaborative, VHREF has partnered with 22 Virginia NICUs, their community EI system managers and New Path.
Because this work is designed to improve health outcomes for infants and young children, parents and families are invited to provide their feedback in a short survey to ensure the project team captures the voice and experience of the patient and family.
