March of Dimes is saying “Thanks a Million” to the Jack in the Box Foundation and generous San Diego employees, franchisees and guests of Jack in the Box® who have donated and raised more than $1.36 million since 2005 to support the mission of March of Dimes. Jack in the Box is March of Dimes’ top fundraiser in San Diego. The fast food corporation, which is headquartered in San Diego, reached this exceptional milestone through sponsorship, employee team fundraising and promotions held in Jack in the Box restaurants. To help celebrate the milestone, “Jack Box,” the popular spokesperson for Jack in the Box, served as honorary chair of the San Diego March for Babies in 2019.

March of Dimes mission is to lead the fight for the health of all moms and babies. Each year, nearly half a million babies are born prematurely or with birth defects. Premature birth and its complications are the largest contributors to infant death in the U.S. and pregnancy-related death has more than doubled over the past 25 years. March of Dimes is taking on rampant issues affecting moms and babies such as health equity, disparities and maternal mortality and morbidity and the opioid crisis, all while remaining true to our goal of reducing premature birth. March of Dimes is tackling these urgent health issues and working to level the playing field so that all moms and babies are healthy through pioneering research, advocating for policies at the national, state and local level and empowering families with programs, knowledge and tools to have healthier pregnancies.

“March of Dimes has done so much over the years to improve the lives of babies and their moms,” said Jack in the Box Inc. Chairman and CEO Lenny Comma. “I’m really proud that our Jack in the Box family has made such a significant impact in supporting this amazing organization.”

"Jack in the Box is a true champion for moms and babies and one of our treasured and long-standing partners in San Diego.  We are thankful to have the support of dedicated Jack in the Box associates and customers to help us empower families with the knowledge and tools they need to have healthier pregnancies and strong babies," says Stacey D. Stewart, President and CEO of March of Dimes.
