“The March of Dimes is delighted to learn that Dr. Diana Bianchi will be the next Director of the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute for Child Health and Human Development.  Dr. Bianchi is exceedingly well qualified for this important position and will bring uncommon leadership, insight, and expertise to the Institute.

“The March of Dimes is pleased to have known and worked with Dr. Bianchi for many years on some of the most critical issues in maternal and child health.  Her long-term, active involvement and collaboration with both obstetrics and pediatrics render her uniquely qualified to advance the Institute’s agenda on the health of women, children, and families.  We are confident that, in addition to her deep substantive expertise in genetics and human development and basic scientific contributions in prenatal diagnosis and treatment, she will also bring thoughtful leadership and vision to the Institute’s extensive portfolio of cutting-edge research.
