Annual March of Dimes® Benefit
Worcester, MA, October 19, 2015 —
On Thursday, October 22nd at Mechanics Hall, top chefs will offer diners an opportunity to enjoy a great night out while raising funds, making friends and increasing awareness of the March of Dimes mission to improve the health of babies.
In addition to sampling signature dishes, and an unforgettable auction, the March of Dimes is proud to honor three outstanding leaders for their commitment to Worcester: Patrick Hughes; CEO of Fallon Health, Dr. Robert Johnson; President of Becker College, and Susan Mailman; President of Coghlin Electrical Contractors
Participating chefs include: Bella’s Bistro, Romaine’s Wood Bar & Grill/Smokestack Urban BBQ, Bean Counter Coffee Bar & Bakery, the Niche Hospitality Group, Piccolo’s, The Queen’s Cups, Creedon & Co., Cyprian Keyes Golf Club, The Twisted Fork, Peppercorn’s Grille & Tavern, Armeno Coffee Roasters and Nuovo.
“What better way to enjoy a wonderful meal than by supporting the March of Dimes mission and working together for stronger, healthier babies, right here in Worcester,” said Event Chairs, Tamara and Bill Fay.
Funds raised by Signature Chefs Auction support lifesaving research and educational programs in Massachusetts. Recently March of Dimes funded Centering Pregnancy to initiate group prenatal care in order to make care more patient and community centered.
Premature birth is the number one killer of babies. It affects more than half a million babies nationwide each year. The March of Dimes is committed to reversing this trend by funding research to find the causes of premature birth and developing strategies to prevent it.
The March of Dimes thanks Signature Chefs Auction sponsors: Fallon Health, St. Vincent Hospital, Sullivan Benefits, Milford Regional Medical Center, Fidelity Bank, Becker College, Women’s Health of Central MA, Neonatology Associates, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care
The March of Dimes is the leading nonprofit organization for pregnancy and baby health.
