March for Babies Fundraisers Raise Funds for Match Donation
Boston, MA, April 15, 2016 —
Parsagen Diagnostics, Inc. was looking for a way to incent fundraisers and they found it. During a one week period they promised donors if they raised $15,000, then Parsagen Diagnostics would match their efforts and donate $15,000 to the March of Dimes themselves. The match was a huge success resulting in an extra $30,000 to help fight premature birth.
The people of Parsagen Diagnostics know the importance of the March of Dimes’ work to help moms and babies. Parsagen Diagnostics is the manufacturer of the PartoSure™ Test, a revolutionary tool in the fight against prematurity.
Parsagen Diagnostics is the March of Dimes newest and largest March for Babies sponsor for 2016. They have donated over $70,000 to help the effort. March for Babies, the March of Dimes largest fundraiser, helps fund lifesaving research and educational programs aimed at helping moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies and healthy babies.
“Fundraising is a critical element to delivering strong mission results in our community,” said Ed Doherty, Executive Director for the Boston-Manchester Market of the March of Dimes. “Parsagen Diagnostic’s generosity is inspiring. Their donations and match promotion is helping the March of Dimes to fund the research that will find the causes of premature birth and birth defects.”
Parsagen Diagnostics Co-Founder and CEO, Ruben F Salinas is professionally and personally connected to the cause after having a premature baby 10 years ago – after a week in the newborn intensive care unit (NICU), Natalia was finally able to go home to her family. After her birth, Salinas made a promise to dedicate his life’s work to advancing medical technology in the field of prematurity.
“March for Babies is the premier fundraising event for the March of Dimes and the ultimate way for us to directly support the research and education that will help put an end to prematurity,” said Ruben F Salinas, Co-Founder & CEO of Parsagen Diagnostics. “Our organization is part of the over 200 researchers looking for causes and ways to prevent prematurity. Supporting this is my personal mission, as well as our company’s and we are excited to rally our community around this important work.”
