New Haven, CT | Friday, February 16, 2018
Nicholas Bonaldo, Vice President Zenith American Solutions and Jeffrey Manfredonia, Senior Corporate Investigative Consultant at Thomson Reuters have been named 2018 New Haven March for Babies co-chairs. “As a father of 3, I can’t think of a more important cause,” says Nicholas Bonaldo. “March of Dimes plays an integral role in leveling the playing field so all moms and babies are healthy. With the proper parental education, resources and tools, mothers and fathers are well equipped thanks to March of Dimes! It’s our goal and mission to broaden the reach of March of Dimes deep into the New Haven county community and beyond.”
In his role as co-chair Jeffrey Manfredonia is helping to raise awareness of the health threats facing moms and babies. “March of Dimes has had huge success locally and nationally by raising critical funds to help tackle the biggest health threats to moms and babies. The momentum needs to continue through local, national, social media and organizational partnerships. I’m thrilled to help lead the March for Babies event and work with such a dedicated leadership team.”
“We’re so excited to have Nick and Jeff on board as our local March for Babies Co-Chairs,” says Deb Fafard, Executive Director for March of Dimes Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. “They share our commitment to moms through every stage of the pregnancy journey, even when everything doesn’t go according to plan. March for Babies is a day for everyone to join together to hope, remember and celebrate at our walks here in our state, and across the country.”
Bonaldo and Manfredonia are inviting other local business and community leaders to join them in supporting March for Babies. Executive Leadership Team members currently include Deputy Chief Jonathan Mulhern of the North Haven Police, Anthony Antunes of Yale University, and Ashley Dwyer of IUOE Local 478. Ashley is also serving as this year’s March for Babies Ambassador, along with her husband, Ben, and their micro-preemie son, Zane. They will be sharing their story at the walk in May.
Last year in New Haven, March for Babies raised more than $120,000, an amount Bonaldo, Manfredonia, and the Leadership Team want to surpass in 2018. They have made the commitment to raise at least $20,000 in new revenue as part of the overall event goal of $125,000.
