‘Black Ties for Babies’ recognizes Humanitarians during an evening of entertainment
Boston, MA, October 21, 2015 —
On October 24th at Space 57 in the Revere Hotel the March of Dimes will host Black Ties for Babies, an exclusive evening of food, entertainment, and exciting auction items to increase awareness and money for medical research, community programs, education and advocacy. During this sold out event the March of Dimes will present the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Humanitarian Awards to notable Bostonians for their dedication to the health of babies in Massachusetts. This year’s honorees are The Boston Business Journal and Jim Sullivan, President of Humboldt Storage and Moving.
“We are honored that we have the opportunity to recognize such notable community leaders,” said Event Chair, Jennifer Robbins, CEO of Anderson Robbins Research. “Their commitment to the March of Dimes mission and the population we serve is inspiring. What better way to enjoy a wonderful meal and fun evening than by raising money for the health of our babies.”
Generous donations of support have been made by the following sponsors: Turkish Airlines, Humboldt Storage and Moving, State Street, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse, Tufts Health Plan, Perkin Elmer, Genzyme, WimerHale, Boston Bruins, Boston Business Journal, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston Chamber of Commerce, McKinsey & Company, Nuance Communications, Premier Ultrasound Services, Consigli Construction, Radius Bank, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Massachusetts Biotechnology Council, and Colpitts Travel.
JC Monahan and Phil Lipof from WCVB-TV NewsCenter 5 will host this annual night of giving. Guests will be treated to amazing appetizers from The Palm, Tony C’s, Sip Wine Bar and Kitchen and Turkish Airlines’ Flying Chef, in addition to a signature dish compliments of Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House, and an array of delectable Turkish desserts. Following the spirited live auction, the event will conclude with a comedy act by Boston’s own Tony V and a lively after party.
