The Advocacy & Government Affairs Committee provides leadership in planning and executing advocacy initiatives in California.  Committee members share policy expertise, provide strategic guidance and advocate for our legislative priorities.  Recent advocacy successes in California include passing legislation to require newborn screening for critical congenital heart disease and securing $4 million in restored funding for the Black Infant Health Program in the state budget.
