The March of Dimes Greater NY Market announced today that it will bring together New Yorkers from all five boroughs to support March for Babies NYC in Manhattan. This consolidation will mobilize thousands of people from across the metropolitan area, who share a commitment to the March of Dimes and its fight to help give every mom and baby a healthy future. Staten Island is the final borough to have its walk merged into the larger event. March for Babies NYC takes place on Sunday, April 29; starting at 65th St. and Broadway and finishing at 26th St and Lexington Ave.
“We are very excited to see the March for Babies family uniting for a citywide event,” said Eileen Hochberg, Senior Development Manager, March of Dimes Greater NY Market. “By bringing together local communities, we know we can solve the toughest problems. Every March for Babies participant is a leader who has the power to make a huge difference for families. We look forward to having our Staten Island teams, volunteers and business partners join March for Babies NYC.”
It was also announced, that as part of this change, Joelle Brancov will be working out of the Greater New York Market office, located in midtown Manhattan. March of Dimes is working toward greater workplace efficiency, to help increase its mission impact. “The success of March of Dimes work is based on personal and business relationships, which will continue to thrive in the Staten Island community,” said Joelle Brancov, Senior Development Manager for the March of Dimes, and a native Staten Islander.
