March for Babies 2014 Media Room
, California, April 18, 2014 —Welcome to the California March of Dimes March for Babies Media Resource Page.
There are 19 March for Babies events held in California and more than 900 events held nationwide during the months of April and May. More than half a million babies are born too soon each year, with between 9-13% of babies born in California being born prematurely. The money raised at March for Babies supports programs in local communities that help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies. And it funds research to find answers to the problems that threaten our babies. We’ve been walking since 1970, and nationwide we have raised an incredible $2 billion to benefit all babies.
Below you will find a variety of resources about how and where March of Dimes invests the dollars raised via March for Babies to improve the health of moms and babies statewide and in local communities.
