Macy’s “Shop For A Cause” Raises More Than $2.7 Million to Benefit Moms and Babies

September 3, 2014

Macy’s ninth annual “Shop For A Cause” one-day shopping event held on Saturday, August 23, 2014 raised more than $2.7 million to help the March of Dimes give more babies in our nation a healthy start in life, it was announced today.

Over the past four years, Macy’s “Shop For A Cause” has supported the March of Dimes work to prevent serious infant health problems such as premature birth, birth defects, and infant mortality. In total, Macy’s customers have donated more than $11 million through “Shop For A Cause” to help moms have full-term, healthy babies.

“Thanks to the incredible support of Macy’s and their customers the March of Dimes is making a difference in the lives of moms and babies who need help,” said Meri-Margaret Deoudes, March of Dimes vice president, National Strategic Alliances and Cause Marketing. “The ‘Shop For A Cause’ program is perfect for families to save on back-to-school shopping for their children while helping other families in their communities and nationwide with babies born too soon.”

The March of Dimes was the exclusive national beneficiary of in-store and online savings pass sales for Macy’s “Shop for A Cause” in 2014. For more information about “Shop For A Cause,” visit macys.com/sfac.
