March of Dimes Connecticut/Western Massachusetts Market announced that John Holt, President and CEO of Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union will serve as chair of the 2018 Hartford March for Babies. The event is March of Dimes’ largest annual fundraising event.
Holt has over 24 years of experience in the financial services industry with 14 of those years in credit unions. He possesses a strong desire for helping members achieve their financial goals and a commitment to improving the communities the credit union serves.
Holt knows how important it is to lead the fight for the health of all moms and babies. “Helping families and the communities we serve is what we do. By supporting March for Babies, we’re directly helping the families that need it the most. I am proud to chair this march and know that all the hard work and funds raised will be used to make a difference.”
The Hartford March for Babies takes place on Sunday, April 29, at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field, 615 Silver Lane in East Hartford, CT. More than 4000 walkers are expected to participate. The day begins with Run for Babies 5k, presented by GYL Financial Synergies. Race day registration opens at 7 A.M. and the race begins at 8 A.M. The Superhero Sprint kid’s fun run follows at 9:30 A.M. The official March for Babies steps off at 10 A.M. Register at marchforbabies.org or runforbabies.org for a specific walk or the virtual walk.
