The March of Dimes is hosting a Community Baby Shower for expectant and “new” mommies scheduled for Saturday, July 29th at Ivy Tech Fall Creek Center, 2535 N. Capitol Ave. in Indianapolis.

The Baby Shower will include FREE admission with a “Safe Sleep” class designed to reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and provide attendees with the latest in safe sleep strategies. Additional breakout sessions will include Car Seat Safety and Breastfeeding classes.  Parents and caregivers who watch over your babies are also encouraged to attend the classes.

“The Community Baby Shower is a celebration of moms and moms-to-be and an opportunity for the March of Dimes to provide access to helpful information that will help ensure a healthier baby,” said Jeff Johnson, Executive Director, March of Dimes Market Development Indianapolis Market.

Additionally, baby-related groups and vendors will be distributing free samples for many baby products and services at the Baby Shower.  The Community Baby Shower is locally sponsored by Ivy Tech Community College and Mead Johnson Nutrition.
