Our mission
Our mission is to lead the fight for the health of all moms and babies. Our goals are to end the preventable maternal health risks and deaths, end preventable preterm birth and infant death, and close the health equity gap. The maternal and infant health crisis is real. But so is our impact. From providing access to quality health care to mobilizing our community to create lasting change for moms and babies, we're ensuring families can get the best possible start.

Boston's mission in action
• Advocacy is a vital component of advancing our mission in Massachusetts through public policies, programs, and funding. Join us to demand #BlanketChange from your state lawmakers by attending our annual March for Change lobby day or joining the Massachusetts Advocacy Action Network.
• NICU Family Support® is the premiere program for neonatal intensive care units (NICU). The program currently serves two NICU’s in Massachusetts: Boston Medical Center and Baystate Medical Center. This program provides family education and staff training with the goal of improving the patient experience.
• We provide peer-reviewed, clinically relevant content to healthcare providers through the March of Dimes Training Institute. Most recently, we’ve held trainings on topics ranging from implicit bias to perinatal substance use stigma reduction for organizations such as the Boston Public Health Commission, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, the Worcester Healthy Baby Collaborative, and more. All training opportunities include continuing nursing education (CNE) credits, with continuing medical education (CME) and other specialties available upon request.
