Johnson & Johnson

Johnson & Johnson envisions a world in which every child reaches their full potential. As a long-time partner of March of Dimes, they’ve played an integral role in programs such as Healthy Babies are Worth the Wait (HBWW), working toward the goal of ensuring that no baby is born too soon.

In 2006, when the innovative HBWW initiative was launched as a demonstration project in Kentucky, Johnson & Johnson was at the forefront. The program used a community-based approach, where health care providers, hospitals, prenatal clinics, community organizations and health departments came together to improve access and service coordination for pregnant women through evidence-based interventions to help them have healthy, full-term pregnancies. It was largely successful, and the program was continued and expanded.

In 2014, Johnson & Johnson became a national partner for HBWW. The partnership supports professional education for providers by cosponsoring program materials, the Healthy Babies are Worth the Wait Implementation Network (HBWWIN) to foster ongoing cross-site collaboration among program staff and partners and the annual HBWW meeting.
