The Harris Poll conducted a survey on behalf of March of Dimes to help better understand public awareness of maternal and infant health issues that families across the country face. Here’s why moms need us:
The Harris Poll survey was administered online in March 2023, and 2,023 U.S. adults aged 18 and older participated. The sample included people who were pregnant, planning to have a child, or had a child in the past two years; parents with children under 18; and those without children. The data collected were weighted to reflect the actual population proportions.
Implications
Maternal and infant health issues are important to Americans, but many perceive these problems as distant or not immediately relevant. Preeclampsia awareness is particularly low, presenting an opportunity to raise awareness.
