Established in 1998, the March of Dimes Nursing Scholarships recognize and promotes excellence in nursing and furthers the organization's commitment to ensuring moms and babies receive the highest quality of medical care, as well as improving health equity. They are awarded to the highest scoring applicants demonstrating a commitment to the mission of March of Dimes. The recipients each receive a $10,000 scholarship supported by Pampers®, a March of Dimes partner for more than 26 years.

Qualified applicants for the Margaret Comerford Freda March of Dimes Graduate Nursing Scholarship are registered nurses currently enrolled in a graduate program in maternal-child nursing at the master's or doctoral level. This award is named in honor of long-time March of Dimes National Nurse Advisory Council Chair, volunteer, and friend, Dr. Margaret Comerford Freda. The scholarship is available to registered nurses pursuing degrees at the master's or doctorate level with a demonstrated commitment to improving maternal and infant health outcomes and health equity for all moms and babies.

Qualified applicants for the Undergraduate Nursing Diversity Scholarship awarded to an undergraduate at an accredited school of nursing, from a racial or ethnic group underrepresented among nurses. Eligible applicants include students enrolled in an undergraduate accredited school of nursing who intends to work in maternal and infant health after graduating from nursing school.

Applications are now closed. Scholarship recipients will be announced in June 2024.
