A legacy rooted in history

What began as a fight against polio, our driving purpose has evolved to the fight to help all moms and babies. Although our primary objective has changed, our core mission to save lives has not.

As a network of like-minded leaders helping to improve mom and baby health, the March of Dimes Roosevelt Society enables you to join other leaders at high-profile events and interact with our leadership at a different level...and create your own legacy.

Where it began

With President Franklin D. Roosevelt at the helm, the fight against polio in the U.S. was won—and March of Dimes has since continued working to improve the lives of families across the country. Today, President and CEO Dr. Elizabeth Cherot leads the charge as we fight for the health of all moms and babies. The work we do is possible because of your support, and our shared commitment will solve even the toughest maternal and infant health problems.

Join like-minded leaders to make an impact

Join us and create your legacy and give every family the best possible start. As a member of Roosevelt Society, you can attend high-profile events and interact with March of Dimes leadership in ways that make an impact.

We fund lifesaving research, community programs, education and advocacy, but a gift to our organization does so much more: It enables families like yours to make a profound difference in this country. Roosevelt Society membership requires a commitment of at least $50,000 over a three-year period. Your gift is tax-deductible as a charitable contribution to the fullest extent allowed by law.

As we look back on 2023, we want to thank you for all that you do. It’s because of our supporters like you that we’re able to continue to fight for every mom, every baby, and every family.

Please take a moment to watch this video from our President and CEO, Dr. Elizabeth Cherot, as she reflects on what we achieved last year and what we hope to accomplish in 2024.

Thank you for being our champions, our advocates, and our family. We’re grateful for you!
