THE REAL ESTATE AWARD - Mark Stagg & Stagg Group

Mark Stagg has been creating homes for nearly 30 years.  He began by building modest single-family and multi-family homes in the Bronx.  From there, he and Stagg Group moved on to small apartment buildings and eventually to large high-rises in Westchester County and the Bronx.  His notable projects include The Riverdale Tower, Bronx (89 Units), West View Apartments, New Rochelle (186 Units), and Whitlock Point, Bronx (265 Units).  While some of his recent buildings offer higher-end market-rate housing, many are designed with one goal in mind – to provide affordable housing for working families who deserve to raise their families in high-quality, well-built homes.  Mark has never wavered from his main goal of building and managing affordable housing for people.  To date, Stagg Group has built more than 5,000 affordable housing units and has more than 3,000 units in the pipeline.
While Stagg Group focuses on building and managing housing, Marks philanthropy extends far past his role as a business owner. Family and community are central to his identity and serve as the foundation of his support for others through charitable efforts and the old-fashioned idea of giving back.  Whether it’s his longtime passion for providing thousands of turkeys to those in need every Thanksgiving, donating to Camp Bronx to help hundreds of underprivileged kids attend summer camp. He is also a member of the board for White Plains Hospital, devoting his time and resources to the new expansion of White Plains Hospital. Mark defines success by doing everything he can to lift up those around him and improve communities.  He is truly grateful for the opportunity to dedicate his time and resources to improving communities and supporting families in Westchester and the Bronx.
Mark is honored to accept the March of Dimes Real Estate Award and is especially thankful to the March of Dimes for the incredibly important work they do.
