Please note, in response to the rising number of COVID cases, March of Dimes has decided to move this event to be virtual for this year. While we may not be together in person, we rely on your continued support to provide innovative programs and services for moms, moms-to-be and babies who may be at a greater risk of becoming sick and not receiving proper or equitable care.

EVENT DETAILS

You're invited to the San Diego's virtual Signature Gala! Join our virtual celebration of the work and legacy of Dr. Tina Chambers, Dr. Louise Laurent, and the Ferring Research Institute. Steve Atkinson, co-anchor of 10News at 5, 6, 7, and 11p.m. will be the emcee. The virtual event will feature an exciting silent auction and you will hear from our Ambassador family, Matt and Lisa Bresnahan. In lieu of a ticket, we hope you will consider funding our mission with a donation. Register for the free virtual event at 5:30pm. With a $2,500 donation, get exclusive access to the pre-VIP virtual event at 5:00pm which includes 4 meals from Del Frisco's Steakhouse and a special presentation from Dr. Christina Chambers about her research, work and partnership with the March of Dimes. SIGNATURE GALA HONOREES

San Diego's Virtual Signature Gala will honor Dr. Chambers, Professor of Pediatrics at University of California, San Diego and Vice Chair of Clinical Research for the Department of Pediatrics at UCSD and Rady Children's Hospital, Dr. Louise Laurent for her work in miRNA biomarkers as a prediction of preeclampsia, and the Ferring Research Institute for its work locally and committment to new therapies for preterm birth.

EACH YEAR IN THE UNITED STATES:
Nearly 4 million babies are born.
Nearly half a million babies are born prematurely or with birth defects.
More than 23,000 babies die before reaching their first birthday.
In addition to the human toll, the societal cost of premature birth is more than $26 billion per year.
