March of Dimes fights for the health of all moms and babies. We believe that every baby deserves the best possible start. Unfortunately, not all babies get one. We are changing that.

WHY GO PURPLE?
November is Prematurity Awareness Month—an important time to raise awareness of the maternal and infant health crisis of preterm birth and ask for lifesaving donations in honor of World Prematurity Day, November 17. The U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, with South Carolina ranking among the most dangerous states. By raising awareness this November, we can advocate for better birth experiences for moms and babies here in the Upstate, and across the country!
