TIPS TO WIN

We bend the rules a bit because it is not the number of strokes that count – the objective is to play for speed.

Tip #1   Ask your donors to double their pledge when you make a birdie or better on a hole. There is a box for them to check on the donation page dedicated to this multiplier. The grand prize winner will be the person that raises the most money. Getting your donors to multiply their pledge, will certainly assist you in leading the pack.

Tip #2   In this tournament, we are not adhering to normal golf rules. If you hit a ball out of bounds, in the water, or the woods, you will be allowed to drop a new ball at the point of entry. There will be no need to waste time re-teeing or finding a drop zone.

Tip #3   Having all of the necessities out of your bag and at arm’s reach will help your pace of play. Place the extra balls, tees, etc. in the cart’s cubby for easy access. Remove all headcovers prior to teeing off as well.

Tip #4   Try to streamline your approach to the game by eliminating practice swings, lining up putts, and watching your ball until it comes to rest. Don’t wait on your playing partner to hit their shot before preparing for yours. Having your club and being ready to hit once your partner does, will benefit you tremendously.

Tip #5   If you plan on using the same club on the next shot, don’t take the time to put it away. Keep it in your hand as you head to the next shot. Also, don’t take the time to mark your ball on the greens, unless it is in your playing partners line.
