WHY TUNE IN?
Developing a safer health care environment is an important part of fighting the maternal and infant health crisis facing our nation, which has been compounded by the COVID-19 pandemic. While numerous medical, social and economic factors collectively contribute to this crisis, medical error is one factor that health care providers can address now. Research shows that serious adverse events are occurring at steadily increasing rates, resulting in devastating outcomes for infants, moms and families, and up to 60 percent are preventable. These tragedies highlight the urgent need to help health care organizations build cultures that promote patient safety.

During the webinar, you’ll learn how the Safer Culture Roadmap, developed by March of Dimes and UTHealth, can help you assess and introduce interventions to improve perinatal patient safety at your organization.

This work is made possible by a grant from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation to March of Dimes.
