Now more than ever expecting and new moms need support, education and reassurance as they navigate their pregnancy journey and new baby. Soccer games, family celebrations and birthday parties are all being postponed, but unfortunately, there is no pause button for pregnancy. March of Dimes, in partnership with Phillips and local sponsors, will host a virtual baby shower for 50 expecting moms from Shaw Air Force Base. Following the virtual shower, those moms will participate in a contactless drive through baby shower at the base to pick up baby gifts totaling close to $250.
SUPPORT THE MISSION
Mission Healthy Baby is a March of Dimes program that is designed specifically for military families and provides free pregnancy and newborn information, as well as, support services to help them have one less thing to worry about and have healhty full-term babies. Additionally, through community military baby showers like this one, military famlies receive resources and health information along with donated products to defray the costs of baby essentials. The Mission Healthy Baby online community is dedicated to supporting the needs of military moms-to-be with health information and a support network.
