Black Maternal Health Week is held annually April 11-17 to build awareness, activism, and community-building to amplify the voices, perspectives, and lived experiences of Black mamas and birthing people.

Led by the Black Mamas Matter Alliance, March of Dimes is partnering to advocate for the elimination of maternal mortality. This year’s theme is Healing Legacies: Strengthening Black Maternal Health Through Collective Action and Advocacy.

Local Collective Impact Initiatives

Our Local Collective Impact Initiatives mobilize cross-sector organizations and community members locally to address the underlying challenges impacting moms and babies and deploy strategies to improve rates of preterm birth and maternal mortality.
