STEVE FARBSTEIN ELECTED TO CHAIR MARCH OF DIMES NATIONAL VOLUNTEER LEADERSHIP COUNCIL

Steve Farbstein, Vice President of Business Development, Cornerstone RPO, Recruitment Process Outsourcing, Richmond, Virginia, has been elected chair of the March of Dimes National Volunteer Leadership Council (NVLC).

In partnership with March of Dimes local markets, the March of Dimes NVLC is responsible for increasing the capacity and accomplishments of high impact volunteer leaders throughout the country by providing leadership, counsel and guidance on national strategy to champion the needs of moms and babies.

“Steve’s experience at many levels of March of Dimes, his outstanding relationship-building skills, and his passion for advocacy for moms and babies, make him a great choice to lead the development of our top volunteer leaders,” says Stacey D. Stewart, president of the March of Dimes.

Mr. Farbstein has served 27 years as a volunteer leader of the March of Dimes. He began as a Signature Chefs Committee member and progressively took on more responsibility in market board leadership roles, then regional leadership, before joining the NVLC. He works tirelessly with volunteer and staff leaders in March of Dimes target markets around the country. 

He is the former Senior Vice President and Head of Mortgage Banking for Park Sterling Bank, based in Richmond.  He is a graduate of the University of Richmond.

Mr. Farbstein is married with two children. He and his family live in Glen Allen, Virginia.
