March of Dimes, the leading nonprofit fighting for the health of moms and babies, today announced the appointment of Adrian P. Mollo as the organization’s Senior Vice President and General Counsel, responsible for managing and directing the organization’s legal strategy and operations.

“Adrian is an experienced practitioner, with expertise in intellectual property and a proven track record of providing effective legal counsel to organizational leaders in the nonprofit and corporate sectors,” said March of Dimes President Stacey D. Stewart. “We’re really proud to welcome him to our team.”

Mollo has nearly two decades of legal experience, with specialties in sponsored research and development, intellectual property rights and licensing, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, commercial contracts, employment law, and litigation. Recently, Mollo served as general counsel for a publicly traded life sciences company that focused on regenerative medicine. He was also a partner in private practice, first at McKenna Long & Aldridge and later at Dentons US LLP, where he counseled and represented Fortune 500 companies and a variety of non-profit organizations, both domestically and internationally.

“I’m excited and proud to join March of Dimes, particularly at this time in its history,’’ said Mollo. “The organization is on an exciting journey as it grows its presence in the DC metro area, and I look forward to being part of its continued growth and ongoing instrumental and life-saving work on behalf of moms and babies.”
