March of Dimes is honoring nurses across Minnesota through our 5th annual Nurse of the Year Awards.
Through an elegant gala and awards ceremony, the March of Dimes recognizes an array of nursing categories and engages the medical community across the spectrum while raising funds in support of the March of Dimes mission to improve the health of babies. Nurses will be honored at a gala dinner October 25 at the Marriott Northwest in Brooklyn Center.
Patients, friends, co-workers and other health professionals nominated nurses in 16 categories including the Distinguished Nurse of the Year. Other categories include:

• Nominations were due to the March of Dimes office July 1, 2014 (the nomination period is now closed)
• Applications are due to the March of Dimes office by August 1, 2014
• The gala will be Saturday, October 25 at the Marriott Northwest in Brooklyn Center

In order to be considered for the award, nominees must fill out an application. Applications are blinded and scored based on credentials, certifications and nursing education, their proudest outcomes, leadership, professional associations and achievements. Blinded applications are scored and reviewed by the volunteer Nurse of the Year Committee.
