March of Dimes secures funding from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana
Baton Rouge, Louisiana, March 27, 2015
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana has approved funding to March of Dimes Louisiana Chapter allowing Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana to be a statewide sponsor for the 2015 March for Babies. The nation’s premier walking event, March for Babies is held in 900 communities across the country and involves more than 7 million people each year. This year, 10 walks are held across the state of Louisiana. March for Babies, gives hope to the more than half a million babies born too soon each year. March for Babies also gives the community an opportunity to get active and have fun by walking with their families in various walking events across the state. The money raised supports programs in your community that help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies. In addition, it funds research to find answers to the problems that threaten our babies.
March of Dimes is proud to thank and acknowledge Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana for its commitment to build a healthier Louisiana through community outreach and charitable giving focused on health and education related initiatives.
