Elyse Claprood is October’s Volunteer of the Month

    Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, October 01, 2012 —

Elyse Claprood is the Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Center (RPICC) Program Coordinator for the Chris Evert Women’s Center at Broward Health Medical. Her main area of focus is working with high risk pregnancy and neonates. As a mission mom, Elyse understands first-hand the importance of providing access to prenatal care to women and neonates. Her passion for healthier moms and babies makes her an invaluable ambassador for the March of Dimes.

Since moving from New York to Ft. Lauderdale, Elyse has been committed to her community. She has held recognizable committee positions with the March of Dimes and many other organizations leading her to be named Inspirational Role Model for Women in Broward County by Sawgrass Mills’ Role Models 2011.

Elyse currently is chairperson for the South Florida Program Services Committee and serves as a committee member for both the State Program Services and the Advocacy & Government Affairs Committee. As an active March of Dimes volunteer, she has been instrumental in mobilizing and pushing forth the March for Babies fundraising efforts for Broward Health, which encompasses more than 30 healthcare facilities throughout South Florida.

Elyse received her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Services Administration from Florida Atlantic University. She is professionally affiliated with various community agencies and is a member of the Florida Public Health Association.
