DesignAbility® Program

DesignAbility® matches skilled volunteers with consumers facing unique barriers in order to create or modify devices to increase independence.

CONSUMERS – if you or someone you know has a physical disability and needs a solution or modification to a device that cannot be found on the market, then make a request to our talented DesignAbility volunteers. There is no charge for the work they do except the expense of the materials involved. These creative solutions can help you or your child or someone you know overcome a barrier to work, play or personal care and performing daily activities. Here is what you need to do.

  1. Fill out a request for assistance form DesignAbility® Request for Assistance form Fax to 416 425 1920 or mail it to 10 Overlea Blvd, Toronto, ON. M4H 1A4.
  2. A volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting
  3. Participate in designing a solution that will work for you
