Acquired Brain Injury Service Expands to Timmins
(11/25/2005 2:55:00 PM)

Thanks to a recent increase in funding from the Ministry of Health, Ontario March of Dimes will now be providing Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Rehabilitation Services and support groups in the Timmins area.

Tanya Mageau, a specialized ABI Rehabilitation Worker, is now taking referrals in the area.

Our ABI Services offer dedicated, one-on-one sessions in the client’s home, school, office or another community venue, and focus on facilitating daily life skills and community integration.

Staff provide professional case management, behaviour management, compensatory strategies/interventions, community orientation and integration, as well as support with appointments, development of daily/weekly routines, goal development, and family support.

For more information on ABI in Timmins, Tanya Mageau can be reached at 705-267-3986.
